Dear Mr. President …

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013

Dear President Obama:

I’m planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements.

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, Mexican President Nieto that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.

4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.

5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.

7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won’t make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my housetop, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.

13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.

14. I want to receive free food stamps.

15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.

16. I’ll need income tax credits so that although I don’t pay Mexican taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.

17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00 to help me buy a new car.

18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I’ll get a monthly income in retirement. I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico . I am sure that the President of Mexico won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

P.S.

Doesn’t this look CRAZY when you put it in writing??!!!

MEXICO IS ANGRY!

Three cheers for Arizona

The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora, Mexico don’t like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It’s almost funny. The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico . Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona’s new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico .

It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off.

A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona’s new Employer Sanctions Law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.

At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora, – Arizona’s southern neighbor, – made up of mostly small towns, – cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.

The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes Arizona employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license. The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on THEIR state government. ‘How can Arizona pass a law like this?’ asked Mexican Rep Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales, ‘There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,’ she said, speaking in Spanish. ‘Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and who were sending money to their families return to their home-towns in Sonora without jobs,’ she said. ‘We are one family, socially and economically,’ she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona .

Wrong!

The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico , and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico’s citizens.

It’s time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop feeding parasitically off the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs.

Too bad that other states within the USA don’t pass a law just like that passed by Arizona. Maybe that’s the answer, since our own Congress will do nothing!

A Letter to AARP

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

This was sent to Barry Rand,  Executive Director of AARP.

Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it’s abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.
This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our ‘house’, invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.
I DON’T choose to welcome them.
I DON’T choose to support them.
I DON’T choose to educate them.
I DON’T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

American home invaders get arrested.
Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get?
Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?

We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven.
We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you.
I am disappointed as hell.
I am scared as hell.

I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!

Obama to Host White House Amnesty Summit

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

On June 8, President Barack Obama will meet with Congressional leaders to discuss immigration reform legislation.  (Politico, May 20, 2009).  In the past, President Obama has supported “comprehensive immigration reform,” which has included amnesty for the more than 12 million illegal aliens who are living in the United States.  (Luuliyo Online, May 20, 2009).

During a meeting with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus this past May, President Obama promised to hold a forum on immigration reform.  (WSJ Washington Wire, March 18, 2009).  As FAIR previously reported, “according to senior administration officials, Obama will speak publicly about the immigration issue in May.”  (FAIR’s Legislative Update, April 13, 2009).  Despite President Obama’s statement that “transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing,” and his promise to run a more transparent government, the immigration meeting will not be public.  (Obama Transparency Memorandum).   Instead, it will be held behind closed doors, outside of the view of the American public which has strongly opposed amnesty in the past.  This initial closed-door meeting in June appears to be in lieu of a public forum on the immigration issue.

The meeting will take place at the White House and will include “a small bipartisan group of lawmakers from the House and Senate, including party leaders and people who have worked on immigration issues.”  (Luuliyo).  Among the lawmakers invited to the meeting are two Democratic Members of the House of Representatives from California: Zoe Lofgren of San Jose, who chairs the House Immigration Subcommittee, and Xavier Becerra of Los Angeles, who is regarded as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s point person on immigration matters.  (KPCC Radio, May 21, 2009).  Both Lofgren and Becerra are outspoken supporters of amnesty. (See FAIR’s Congressional Voting Report for the 110th Congress).

The White House meeting comes at a time when nearly 14 million American workers are out of a job and desperately looking for work. (Luuliyo).  The last time that Congress considered amnesty, in June 2007, unemployment stood at 4.6 percent and 7 million Americans were out of work.  However, today’s unemployment rate stands at 8.9 percent, and 13.7 million Americans are out of work.  (See FAIR’s Amnesty & Joblessness Report, May 2009).  Amnesty would allow the estimated 8.3 million illegal aliens who are in the workforce to keep the jobs they never should have had, instead of freeing those jobs up for the American workers who need them.  In addition, amnesty would give those 8.3 million illegal aliens the ability to begin openly competing for other jobs, in a time when America’s labor market is already demonstrating a lack of available jobs.

Words “Illegal aliens” Banned From AZ Courtrooms?

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

A Hispanic lawyers group has asked Arizona’s chief justice to end state court use of words its members consider inflammatory such as “illegal aliens.”

But Cari Gerchick, spokeswoman for the Arizona Supreme Court, said Monday that there has been no ban on any words, nor is Chief Justice Ruth McGregor considering one.

Gerchick said McGregor gave top judicial officials statewide the September request to let them know of the Phoenix-based Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association’s concerns.

Officials with the group wrote McGregor that eliminating “unnecessary terms from public documents and proceedings will increase the professionalism of the courts, reduce perceptions of judicial bias and lead to greater confidence in Arizona’s courts.”

It said that using terms such as “illegals,” “aliens” and “illegal immigrants” to describe people without lawful immigration status “gives the appearance of anti-immigrant prejudice and tarnishes the image of our courts as a place where disputes may be fairly resolved.”

Gerchick said McGregor has “absolutely not” taken a position on the language at issue and that she simply distributed the letter “as part of a typical process of dealing with issues that arise in the court system.”

“Simply sending out an e-mail is not a subtle message; it’s FYI,” she said. Gerchick also noted that McGregor issues policy decisions only through administrative orders, “and there is no administrative order on this issue.”

McGregor’s written response Oct. 2 thanked the association’s officials for “asking that our judges and employees refrain from using certain derogatory terms in court documents and proceedings. I have taken several steps to notify our judges of your concerns.”

The justice’s letter also said she would provide the request to all superior court presiding judges as well as an appellate chief judge, and suggested that the Commission on Minorities in the Judiciary “consider whether any further distribution of your request would be helpful.”

The Washington-based watchdog organization Judicial Watch insisted from that wording that McGregor’s letter supports a ban.

“It is an endorsement. It’s quite apparent to most people reading the letter,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “It doesn’t say there won’t be a ban.”

Fitton added, “I think the letter suggests that the words should be banned per the Hispanic association’s concerns. . . . The chief justice agrees that the use of the terms is inappropriate. And she took action on its request that it not be used.”

Judicial Watch posted an entry on its blog last Thursday saying McGregor “has agreed to enforce” a ban on the words, and the next day posted another, saying that the court “has threatened to sue Judicial Watch for revealing that its chief justice agreed to enforce” a ban.

In a telephone interview, Fitton said that in a telephone call, Gerchick had told a Judicial Watch staff member that its first blog entry was “slanderous.”

But Gerchick, who is an attorney, said she does not recall using the word “slanderous.”

“It’s the incorrect term,” she said.

“It would have been libel. But I don’t recall saying that. I certainly did not threaten any kind of legal action, as their Web site says.

“It was simply, `We didn’t ban any words. Would you please stop saying that?”‘
